On board the 27m charter yacht equipped for days exploring the Dalmatian Coast's rich tapestry

Each week we select one of the world’s finest superyachts available for charter. This week, BOAT reflects on time spent on board Horizon's 27.4-metre yacht Conte Albertia sporty, sexy yacht primed for charters with loved ones as she cruises the breathtaking Mediterranean tapestry.

Sitting under 28 metres in LOA, Conte Alberti is the living charter proof that, oftentimes, the best things come in small packages. The yacht injects speed, style and fun into your charter yacht experience, packing a punch when it comes to the activities and itineraries on offer as she cruises some of Croatia's most charming coastal towns.

Delivered in 2006 by the Taiwanese yard, the yacht for charter offers a unique opportunity for guests to get to know the rugged coastline and ancient ports of Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. The region is located along the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea, covering over 3,000 nautical miles from the city of Zadar in the north to the city of Dubrovnik in the south. It features the must-see towns of Split and Dubrovnik, the latter of which has been dubbed the "Pearl of the Adriatic".

Besides historic towns, Croatia has lots to offer – from national parks to deserted beaches, hidden villages and restaurants on secluded islands. Thanks to the crew's extensive local knowledge, Conte Alberti offers guests the chance to branch off the beaten track and visit spots where tourism hasn't yet taken hold.

Conte Alberti isn't so large that she can't access the country's narrow, sheltered coves and hidden bays. As many of the islands have small ports and harbours, the charter yacht's sleek design also allows her to navigate these intimate spaces with ease.

Guests can also take advantage of her spacious decks for relaxing, sunbathing and soaking up the spectacular views – whether it's from the sunpads on the foredeck or up top with the Jacuzzi, lounge area and sunbed (not forgetting the sit-up bar).

In terms of accommodation, the yacht sleeps up to eight guests across three doubles and a twin cabin. Stepping inside, guests can benefit from the elegant saloon with sofa seating.

Breakfast is best eaten in the dining area of the main deck within touching distance of the galley, where the chef prepares daily platters of fruit, pastries and pancakes. Meanwhile, lunch can be enjoyed al fresco, where huge tureens of fish soup are dished out by the ladleful and steaks are sliced to reveal their pink interior.

Captain Ivan Zemunik of Conte Alberti said: "With Conte Alberti cruises, you can experience the best of the Dalmatian Coast, with the luxury and comfort of a modern cruise while immersing yourself in the timeless beauty of Croatia’s islands. Whether you're exploring ancient ruins, swimming in crystal-clear waters, enjoying local wines, or simply soaking in the stunning coastal landscapes, Croatia’s islands are a paradise waiting to be discovered."

It's worth mentioning that the uniqueness of the Conte Alberti experience and the selected cruising spots is possible only thanks to the crew's dedication, know-how and excitement – it is the people that are the core and strength point of the Conte Club. The more active charter guests will also love the range of equipment for adventures – from snorkelling gear to paddleboards and Jet Skis.

Croatian itineraries on board

Where to cruise is down to the charter guest's choice – with a focus on exploring the islands "at your own pace", explained the captain.
