The third hull in Vripack’s 26 metre SUV-styled explorer yacht range is underway at Turkish shipyard Evadne Yachts.
Following on from the first hull Rock, the third hull will feature a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and the same automotive-inspired design which replicates the curved structure of a Range Rover.
Retaining the same “sleek aesthetic” and high, straight bow, the third hull will feature only “minor changes” to the existing layout. These include the addition of an L-shaped sofa on the aft deck and a kite sail system that was retrospectively added to the first hull.
The interior is reminiscent of a “contemporary loft apartment” with “textured fabrics and soft furnishings”.
Glass is present throughout, with full height windows letting in plenty of natural light and delivering far reaching ocean views.
Accommodation on board is for a total of eight guests, comprising an owner’s cabin with a private terrace and three further guest cabins. The sundeck will feature a Jacuzzi.
Speaking about the project, president of Evadne Yachts, Ali Sayakci, said: “It would be easier and faster to build a 24 metre yacht in GRP or composite, but we spend time, energy and resources to custom-build the yachts in metal to ensure they are high quality, seaworthy vessels.
“The owner of hull number one spends long amounts of time on board, cruising vast distances in Cyprus and the Adriatic Sea, and he enjoys his yacht immensely because it’s a go-anywhere vessel with comfort and space.”
