Vega Yachts project V853 splashed at Kusch Yachtbau

The 101-metre Vega Yachts project V853 designed by naval architect Richard Hein of Monaco has passed a milestone in her build with the hull splashing this week at Kusch Yachtbau in Wewelsfleth, Germany. Built in steel, the hull has a beam of 16 metres.

The yacht will feature diesel electric propulsion giving a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a more economical speed. She will be classed to Lloyd's Passenger Yacht Code. Interior design is by Studio Massari of Italy. It will accommodate 22 guests, 3 staff members and a crew of 29.
