Turquoise Yachts' 87-metre flagship Vento has been transferred from its Kocaeli shipyard in Turkey to the Pendik shipyard for outfitting. She is scheduled for delivery to her owner in 2024, who was introduced by Glynn Smith at Ethereal Yachts.
The largest motor yacht ever built in Turkey, current work involves the installation and outfitting of her interior as well as a topcoat paint application. Characterised by soft lines, angled grilles and a hull finished in a striking "Tour de France" blue, Vento features exterior and interior styling by British studio H2 Yacht Design, which previously collaborated with the shipyard on current flagship GO, as well as the newly delivered Jewels.
Highlights of the flagship include a drive-in tender dock, a 6.5 metre pool with skylights and a touch-and-go helipad that doubles as a basketball court when not in use. Vento's crowning glory, however, will be the large sundeck that houses an informal seating and cooking area, an outdoor cinema set-up, a bar and fixed sunpads.
Guest accommodation is found on the main deck while the owner's suite is situated on a private space above. An open spiral staircase positioned in the centre of the vessel will link all decks together with a skylight bathing the space in natural light.
"Working on majestic projects like Vento is always rewarding: the level of planning, commitment and dedication from all parties involved is very special and with that, the grand results are even more fulfilling," said chief executive of Turquoise Yachts Patrik Von Sydow.
This follows the news of Infinite Jest's delivery last month, which marked the first collaboration between the Turkish shipyard and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.
