75m superyacht Infinite Jest completes trip to Antarctica following delivery

5 March 2024 • Written by Gabrielle Lazaridis and Dea Jusufi

The 75-metre superyacht Infinite Jest has completed a trip to Antarctica following her delivery in July 2023.

In August 2023, she left Turquoise Yachts' facility in Turkey for her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean and has since sailed 19,699 nautical miles across five continents.

"In December 2023, Infinite Jest left the South American continent in her wake and headed towards the great southern continent of Antarctica," said Captain Tim Davison. "Twenty-four hours later, the air and water temperatures dropped to freezing point, the sea changed colour, the wildlife changed, the fog closed in, and the first icebergs were sighted."

He added: "It was at this point that nearly three years of planning and preparation came to fruition. What lay ahead of us was the adventure of a lifetime."

Exterior styling from Vallicelli Yacht Design sought to balance a "powerful dynamic look" with curved lines for a "harmonious contrast between soft and rigid elements". The result features a low-angle descent towards the transom and an extended forward overhang to emphasise the length of the yacht over its 1,725-gross-tonne volume.

Infinite Jest also marks the first collaboration between Turquoise Yachts and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, who handled the yacht's interior alongside Julie Hillman Design. Accommodation is for 14 guests across an owner's suite that occupies a private deck with an office space, as well as one VIP cabin and five additional guest cabins.

Onboard highlights include a full-beam beach club spanning 14.2 metres, with shell doors on either side offering greater access to the water. Elsewhere, a central tender garage houses a 10.2-metre limousine tender, two additional tenders and multiple jet skis.

Fitted with twin Caterpillar 2,575 BHP diesel engines, Infinite Jest has a maximum speed of 17 knots.

According to BOATPro, Turquoise Yachts has four yachts currently under construction. This includes the 79-metre Project Toro, which is scheduled for delivery in summer 2024.
