British yachtbuilder Sunseeker has revealed brand new renderings of its 36.6-metre Sunseeker 120 model. First presented during the Monaco Yacht Show, the Sunseeker 120 will bear many of the same hallmarks as its popular little sister, the Sunseeker 100 model, with key features including a large foredeck with a Jacuzzi and an enlarged cockpit with a bar.
Speaking at the boat show, Sunseeker CEO Andrea Frabetti said it was key that the flybridge yacht maintained the same sporty DNA as the other models in the range while packing in more volume. "Everyone wants bigger yachts now. The goal of Sunseeker is to put together a sleek, aggressive design, like a sports yacht [...] but still very roomy," he explained.
The yacht accommodates between ten to 12 guests, plus five crew. The main deck owner's suite is flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows and is attached to a dressing room corridor which leads through to the en suite bathroom, made complete with a rain shower and bench seating. Interiors have "mid-century modern influences," recessed lighting and reflective materials to "maximise the natural light onboard".
Aft of the owner's suite is the main saloon, which is accessed via sliding glass doors in a slightly asymmetric position to accommodate the exterior wet bar in the cockpit. Windows run the length of the space, with L-shaped sofa seating and loose furniture aft and a dining arrangement forward.
On the exterior, the flybridge and foredeck remain in contact with each other thanks to a walk-through on the starboard side, an innovative feature that proved popular on the 100 model. The elevated foredeck can be fitted with a dip pool below the windshield, which forms part of a larger social set-up with sofas and sunpads.
The yacht also has a rise-and-fall swim platform with an integrated gullwing door. A tender of six metres and two Jet Skis can be stored inside an interior garage.
The Sunseeker 120 is estimated to reach 20 knots and a range of 1,730 nautical miles when pared back to 10 knots.
The news comes at a very busy time for the British yachtbuilder, with 25 units currently under construction according to BOAT Pro.
