The second unit in Bilgin Yachts' 52-metre Bilgin 170 series has arrived in Antalya, Turkey for outfitting. The semi-custom yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and is the result of a collaboration between Emrecan Özgün of Unique Yacht Design and Milanese interior designer Hot Lab.
Based on the Bilgin 163, the model offers an identical layout with a more traditional bow design that improves the exterior space.
"The primary goal was to optimise the 50-metre models. This achieves a more sporty and masculine look while blending the design seamlessly to offer customers the ability to utilise both open and enclosed spaces under 500GT," explained Özgün. "This focus on functionality and aesthetics has resulted in a yacht that truly stands out from the crowd."
According to the shipyard, the sundeck is "one of the largest in its size range" and has been designed with an eight-person Jacuzzi, a dining area and a bar. The bridge deck has also been extended by one and a half metres, while the bow offers an additional relaxation area once the rescue boat is deployed. An extended swim platform also offers more space at the water's edge.
The yacht was sold in November 2023 to a first-time client. "They've been closely observing Bilgin Yachts for the past four to five years," explained commercial director of Bilgin Yachts, Berkay Yilmaz. "They visited our shipyard and had the opportunity to explore vessels such as the 80-metre Tatiana and the 47.5-metre Moonraker (formerly known as Snow 5), leaving them impressed by the superior quality of our craftsmanship, interior design, and engineering, not to mention our overall design philosophy."
Powered by twin CAT engines, the Bilgin 170 can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
According to BOATPro, Bilgin Yachts has 11 units under construction. The third and fourth units in the Bilgin 170 series are scheduled for delivery in 2026.
