Turkish shipbuilder Sarp Yachts has delivered the first unit of its XSR 85 series, which has now been christened Edge.
Edge is the first of two XSR models to be built by the Antalya-based shipyard, both of which are listed for sale with Alex Clarke at Denison Yachting.
The yacht features a composite Fast Displacement Hull Form, pioneered by Van Oossanen, with a carbon fibre superstructure. Meanwhile, Red Yacht Design has overseen both interior and exterior styling. With robust lines and a dark superstructure, the distinctive “Porsche Guards red” hull makes her unmistakable at sea.
Acting as project management for design and engineering development and construction, the team at Mavi Marine commented, “all the parties have a great collaboration and harmony for [the] XSR project.”
Ample exterior decking flows freely into interior spaces, where a saloon with high windows provides a perfect backdrop for relaxing or entertaining. A large shaded sundeck with alfresco seating ensures comfort in any weather.
Accommodation can house nine guests and four crew members, including the captain. With twin MAN 800 engines, the FDHF allows the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 21 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and an extended range of 1000 nautical miles. This yacht for sale carries 7,850 litres of fuel onboard.
The second hull features a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system and is scheduled for completion in the next six to eight months.
Edge will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival asking €5,450,000 with Denison Yachting.
