Sanlorenzo releases details on two new models debuting at the Cannes Yachting Festival

Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has released details on two new models debuting at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival: the SP92 and the SL86A.

Measuring 27.9 metres, the SP92 is the second in the Italian shipyard’s new smart performance (SP) line and follows in the footsteps of the 33.5-metre SP110, which BOAT International visited last year.

The yacht can reach an impressive maximum speed of 40 knots, with other key specs including a low draft of 1.2 metres and a 7.1-metre beam. Accommodation is for up to eight guests and four crew, with interiors spread across four levels. A 45-square-metre beach area is the focus of the design, which can be customised with a retractable door concealing the garage.

Meanwhile, the SL86A measures 26.6 metres and represents a "new evolution in the asymmetry concept" as seen in the earlier SL102 and SL96 models. The asymmetric layout eliminates the port-side corridor while retaining the one on the starboard side, allowing for a full-height window overlooking the sea on one side, and a living room opening onto a balcony on the other.

Top features include an open plan living space on the main deck which can be customised with a main saloon and formal dining area forward. A minimalist aft deck allows the model to sail without a visible staircase, for a cleaner exterior aesthetic and easily accessible ocean views.

According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo has an impressive 60 yachts on order or currently under construction.

The news of these two new models follows the delivery of the 49.9-metre Almax, which is also making her debut at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival.

With hotel load powered by "green" methanol and fuel cell reformer technology, the yacht marks one of a small, but growing number of yachts exploring alternative power sources in a bid for carbon-neutral cruising.
