Designer Tony Castro has revealed a new, 60-metre superyacht concept known as Project Perennial. The concept is currently listed for sale with Denison Yachting.
The 60-metre superyacht has a "social, family-friendly" design and features a Cabana-style lounge on the aft deck that "has never been done on a yacht of this size," according to broker David Johnson.
Accommodation is for between 12 and 16 guests across two forward VIP cabins (with balcony access), a large family cabin with Pullman berths and two more lower deck cabins with direct access to the beach club and a cinema. There are further quarters for a crew of 17, including the captain.
An entire deck is dedicated to the owner, arranged with his and hers bathrooms, a private veranda and a "panoramic view" from the primary cabin. The space also features an owner's office and lounge with access to the aft deck and sundeck above. A gym and spa area can be found on the main deck, while the foredeck has the option of a flat deck for helicopter boarding or a forward spa pool and fire pit.
Meanwhile, the aft terrace features an asymmetric pool, sofa seating and a breakfast bar area suitable for morning or evening use. A slatted pergola shade can cover the area "with the flick of a switch". On the lower deck is the beach club, aft boarding and fold-down platforms for water access. There is also a tender bay for a nine-metre limo tender and a seven-metre RIB.
"The team is happy to have found in Denison Yachting someone that sees the future of custom superyacht building as we do," said Tony Castro. "Great minds think alike."
David Johnson added: "It is an absolute pleasure to work with Tony and his talented team on this project. Tony is a legend in the industry, so when his office shared the design with me, I knew I wanted to promote it. Tony’s studio has designed a yacht that has maintained stylish lines and at the same time has some very creative areas."
