12 July 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

The 46.5-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Tamarita has run aground near the Greek island of Paxos following an encounter with a coral reef.

According to BOATPro, Tamarita has been marooned since 9 July though recent imagery shows that a salvage attempt is now underway.

Tamarita was delivered by Italian shipyard Perini Navi in 1991 and last refitted in 2022. Design highlights include a state-of-the-art entertainment centre with a television screen and a bar, a swim platform and an extended flybridge that features a barbecue grill and sunpads. Accommodation is for eight guests across four cabins.

The yacht was listed for sale in February 2024 at an asking price of €5,450,000.

Details are scarce at the time of writing. BOAT International will update the story as it develops.
