Mazu Yachts releases first interior renderings of new 34m steel model

Turkish builder Mazu Yachts has released the first interior renderings of its 34.2-metre 112 DS model. The design is the second in the shipyard's displacement series and will be the larger sibling of the 92 DS, the first hull of which was a finalist at the 2024 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards.

Istanbul-based Mazu Yachts is known for its composite planing dayboats and the DS series marks the shipyard's entry into steel construction. Turkish studio Red Yacht Design was called in to create the exterior and interior of the 112 DS after working on the smaller model.

In order to keep the yacht's weight as low as possible, the yacht will have a steel hull and composite superstructure. Much like its smaller sibling, the profile of the Mazu 112 DS features a raised pilothouse and a vertical bow. The walk-around section of the superstructure will house the main saloon, which will be illuminated by full-height windows.

"With the Mazu 112DS, we wanted to create an interior that feels effortlessly elegant yet incredibly inviting," explained Cana Gokhan, design director of Red Yacht Design. "We focused on using light tones, soft materials, and a seamless connection between spaces to ensure a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Every detail is designed to enhance the on board experience, making it a true home on the water."

The main saloon leads to a generous aft deck lounge, which connects to a swim platform with folding bulwarks and sliding glass transom doors providing access to a beach club area.

The yacht is crowned by an 115 square metre flybridge deck with a dining table for 12 people, lounge seats and an elegant bar. Meanwhile, there is an alternative open-air lounge area on the foredeck, culminating in a combined exterior area of 225 square metres.

According to BOATPro, Mazu Yachts has two units in its 92 DS series currently under construction. BOAT International was invited on board the first unit in the series, Water Lily, in 2024.
