The 142.1-metre superyacht Project Ali Baba has returned to Lürssen's shipyard in Bremen, Germany following her sea trials near Brunsbüttel last week (12 September). According to BOATPro, she is expected to be delivered in December 2024.
The superyacht made headlines last December following a technical failure of the dock gate at Lürssen's Bremen facilities, which forced the yacht's nose into the dock curtain.
The new build project was also seen in two halves in May 2022 when she was moved out of the construction shed. Besides these brief instances, details on Project Ali Baba remain tightly under wraps.
Available imagery showcases a grey profile with an elongated bow and bold exterior lines spanning the four decks, including two helipads. She has drawn stylistic similarities to the 85.2-metre Lürssen yacht Pacific which features an exterior by German Frers.
Project Ali Baba is one of the 10 superyachts in build at Lürssen, according to BOATPro.
The sighting follows the delivery of the 82-metre Haven this summer.
