ISA Yachts starts construction on 80m Nuvolari Lenard project

10 March 2022 • Written by Tom McGhie

ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has started construction on an 80 metre superyacht penned by international design studio Nuvolari Lenard.

Codenamed Project Amarcord, the yacht will be built on speculation at the yard’s Ancona facility with delivery slated for 2025. While design details remain slim, Palumbo has released a single rendering of Project Amarcord, which shows six decks, clean lines and a two-tone hull and superstructure.

Delivery for Amarcord has been estimated for 2025

Speaking on the new project, Palumbo’s director Giuseppe Palumbo said: “We are confident Nuvolari Lenard can interpret a beloved brand like ISA Yachts. This will be an opportunity to work with them on other interesting innovations in the stylistic field.”

Nuvolari Lenard, the studio behind yachts such as the 146 metre Lürssen Nord and 115 metre Lürssen Ahpo, was tasked with producing a yacht with an exterior that "captured the essence of ISA Yachts”, the shipyard said.

Nuvolari Lenard has previously penned superyachts such as Nord

Designer Carlo Nuvolari said: “We are designing a yacht that conceptually and stylistically connects with the many others built by ISA Yachts so far.”

He continued: “It is not an easy task, considering that ISA boats have always had a strong personality and the ultimate goal is to further strengthen it by dressing it with an innovative, recognisable and unique style.”

ISA Yachts is currently overseeing the build of two ISA GT 45M projects and a Continental 80 at its Ancona shipyard.
