The 101-metre Feadship superyacht Moonrise, previously known as Project 1013, has been transported to the Dutch yard's Amsterdam site for final outfitting works. Sea trials will be the next milestone for the mammoth build, which is scheduled for delivery this July, according to BOATPro.
The yacht carries similar hallmarks and design cues to her predecessor, also named Moonrise, including the sleek exterior lines by Studio De Voogt, "powerful vertical bow" and the grey and snow-white paintwork. The interior is again by Rémi Tessier, although the yard notes she distinguishes herself from the 99.9-metre Moonrise by incorporating numerous technological enhancements and design refinements.
One of these changes – and a first for the Dutch yard – is the absence of the domes, which housed VSAT and TVRO antennas. On the new yacht, Starlink satellite receivers are integrated into the superstructure to improve communication, streaming capabilities and to enhance the sleek aesthetic.
Differing design aesthetics can also be seen on the mast, which is taller, and the expansive sundeck with a massage area, gym and hairdressing salon. Meanwhile, the exterior decks and swim platform have also been extended. Further highlights include an owner's deck and a private cinema on the bridge deck.
Particular focus was placed on keeping noise levels to a minimum, with specially designed propellers and appendages helping to reduce both underwater noise and interior sound for a more enjoyable onboard experience. This was further enhanced by what is believed to be the first fully resilient-mounted anchor winch foundation, which features optimised chain routing to limit vibration and sound.
Highly secretive, the yacht was spotted for the first time as the vessel was lowered into the water at Feadship's Zwijnenburg facility in October 2023, before she made her way to the builder's Makkum site to begin outfitting.
Very few details of the new-build superyacht have been released by the yard as construction has advanced, but initial images hinted at the straight bow, glazed upper decks and ample space on the aft deck for a superyacht pool. The yacht also has a number of shell doors in her lower deck, with what appears to be a side-loading tender garage amidships and a second garage in the bow.
The Dutch yard is gearing up for a busy season, having recently celebrated the sea trials of the 79.9-metre Faith.
