The eighth hull in the Amels 242 series, named Nome, has been delivered from the Netherlands and is now en route to Edinburgh in the UK, according to BOATPro.
The 74-metre was last sighted on sea trials near Vlissingen in April 2024, where she debuted her "Flag blue" hull and "Oyster white" superstructure for the first time. Winch Design was appointed for Nome's custom interiors and has continued the superyacht's distinct colour scheme indoors, including a wall of semi-precious blue agate stones installed in the main entranceway. A range of blue marbles can also be found on board, as well as blue mosaics featured throughout the wellness area.
Further highlights include a dedicated owner's deck with a Jacuzzi, as well as a large aft swimming pool and lower wellness space. Accommodation is for up to 12 across six cabins, and guests will benefit from the ample dining and entertaining layouts on her multiple decks. Other confirmed specs include a 12.5-metre beam, a 3.9-metre draft and a top speed of 16.5 knots.
According to BOATPro, Amels has nine yachts currently in build or on order. This includes the seventh hull in its Espen Øino-designed Amels 60 series, which entered outfitting in February 2024.
