BAZ Yacht Design has revealed a new, 49.5-metre concept known as Project Kai.
Named after the Hawaiian for "ocean", the superyacht's highlight is an underwater observatory lounge, which has two layout options. Owners can install a gym and spa in the space, or a cinema and game room.
Guest accommodation is across four VIP cabins located on the main deck. One deck has been dedicated entirely to the owner, including an owner's cabin with 180-degree views, a separate office and lounge. Outdoors, 150 square metres of private exterior space feature an open-air cinema, golf practice amenities, a private lounge and a bar.
The beach club measures 125 square metres and comes complete with a seawater pool, a swim platform with a 13-metre tender and a sub-sea anchor.
Project Kai is envisioned with a cruising speed of 14 knots and will offer an "eco-silent cruising" mode at 5.5 knots.
The studio recently revealed a first look inside the 40-metre North Star (ex. Extreme) following a six-month refit. Works included an interior aesthetic overhaul and a refreshed, chromatic exterior.
