Baglietto sells flagship Francesco Paszkowski-designed Fast50 model

Italian shipyard Baglietto has confirmed the sale of the flagship Fast50 model in its new series. Earlier this year, the fast line series was initially presented at a conference in Milan, attended by the BOAT International team.

Designed by Francesco Paszkowski, the yacht is inspired by the shipyard's historical "trendsetters" – including Pachamama, Monokini and Rush (a World Superyacht Award winner). Delivery of this first unit is scheduled for 2026.

"We are delighted to have secured this sale just a few months after officially presenting the model to the press," commented Baglietto's CCO Fabio Ermetto. "This is a tangible acknowledgement of the value of a project capable of flawlessly combining top performances and timeless elegance, two of Baglietto's distinctive hallmarks."

"From the design of the ventilation ducts to the two fairleads at the stern reminding of sports car exhausts, many are the references to the automotive world on this yacht," explained a Baglietto spokesperson. The model lends design inspiration from Baglietto's T52 line, which recently sold its ninth hull. Highlights of the Fast50 include a two-level stern with gunwales that convert into a swimming platform and a maximum speed of 30 knots, thanks to the yacht's four MTU engines.

Speaking to BOAT International, Paszowski said: "The boat has an inclination from the stern to the bow that [looks] like a tiger that’s ready to pounce”.

Unlike her predecessor, the Fast42, the Fast50 has three full decks that allow for a "wide body" concept in the master cabin. Guest accommodation is across two VIP cabins and two twin cabins on the lower deck, while the crew quarters include a large dinette, the captain's cabin and four more cabins with Pullman berths.

The main saloon hosts a lounge area and a television area, while formal dining has been arranged in the sky lounge on the upper deck. The design also features floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened on three sides to maximise views.

Meanwhile, the outdoor areas are described as "equally generous", with space both aft and forward of the wheelhouse for sunloungers, sofas, private sunbathing spots and a "conversation area". There is also a Jacuzzi installed in the bow for "extreme" views, enjoyed in the "utmost privacy". The seven-metre tender is also worth noting, stored in a float-in garage located behind the engine room.

The Fast50 is also fitted with limited-draught semi-tunnels, ensuring safe cruising even in shallow waters

"The FAST50 line is reintroducing Baglietto to the segment of high-performing yachts," said Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto. "Top performances have always been part of our DNA, and the new top-of-the-range model reinterprets distinctive elements of our tradition to effectively respond to the current market demand. This means meeting the needs of clients who love top performances but do not want to renounce the comfort and luxury of a superyacht."

Earlier this year, Baglietto sold the tenth DOM133 to an Australian client – a first for the shipyard.
