The third hull in Alpha Custom Yachts' Squalo 100 line has moved to the shipyard's facility in Fano, Italy, for outfitting. The 29.6-metre is scheduled for delivery in 2024.
Deriving from the Italian word for shark, the Squalo 100 embodies an “alpha male” shark exterior by Roberto Curtò Design, who is also responsible for the yacht's interior, while naval architecture is the work of Massimo Verme.
Accommodation on the tri-deck yacht will be for up to 10 people across five cabins, with further provisions for a crew of five. The master cabin is located on the main deck, providing access to primary living areas, including a spacious full-beam saloon to enhance relaxation and socialising.
Further design highlights include the use of floating walls, floors and ceilings to enhance stability and reduce noise for a smooth and quiet journey. The galley will also feature state-of-the-art appliances with industrial-grade appliances and temperature control systems.
The GRP yacht is powered by a pair of MAN engines and can reach a top speed of 16.5 knots with a cruising speed of 13.5 knots.
According to BOATPro, Alpha Custom Yachts currently has six yachts in build.
