Bodrum-based shipyard Aegean Yacht has delivered the first unit in its 26 metre Aegean Explorer Series.
Christened Ukiel, the yacht was started on spec and was sold after completing the hot works. She marks the yard's first delivery under the Aegean Yacht brand since 2015.
Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Ukiel has a gross tonnage of 187 GT. She is powered by traditional MAN engines which will deliver a maximum speed of 12.7 knots with a range of over 3,500 nautical miles. Other key numbers include a beam of 6.9 m beam and a draft of 2.1 metres.
The yacht can comfortably accommodate 12 guests with a configuration that includes "three master suites" plus one VIP and two twins on the lower deck. Four crew members are accommodated in four single cabins, all with en suites.
The yacht's design and naval architecture has been completed in house. Ukiel is characterised by a robust, explorer-style exterior with a grey hull, plumb bow and low profile. On the interior, the design team has used a blend of warm oak, elegant parquet flooring, stainless steel accents and white lacquered overheads.
In terms of al fresco space, the yacht benefits from a generous swim platform, a cockpit dining arrangement with optional shading and an upper deck lounge space that's fitted with loose furniture.
The second hull of the Aegean Explorer Series is now under construction, with the launch scheduled for late summer 2023. She is being built on speculation.
