Construction progresses on 82m Admiral superyacht Galileo

Admiral, the flagship brand of The Italian Sea Group (TISG), has announced that the 82-metre project Galileo has entered her next outfitting phase at the shipyard's facilities in Marina di Carrara, Italy.

This is the first time the superyacht has been sighted since her sale in December 2021, which was closed by FGI Yacht Group and marked TISG's entrance into the US market for larger superyachts. Project Galileo has been built in steel and aluminium to an in-house design, with British studio Bannenberg & Rowell curating the interior. Initial renderings indicate sinuous lines, four decks and an upwards line that slices through the bulwarks.

Accommodation is for 12 guests and 28 crew members with a 130-square-metre upper deck entirely dedicated to the owner’s suite. Elsewhere, more than 100 square metres of space is dedicated to lounging on each deck, granted by a generous 13.3-metre beam. Standout features include a waterfall that links two of the four pools on board, one of which measures 7.5 metres in length, as well as an underwater cinema lounge.

The current outfitting phases will focus on the installation of "cutting-edge" technology systems, navigation and the finalisation of the interior and exterior spaces. Project Galileo will also feature an "extraordinary" engine room, which will be visible and fully integrated into the living spaces through a corridor connecting the spa area to the upper deck foyer.

"The growing interest in our yachts coming from the US market shows the validity of our commercial strategy in the area and confirms TISG’s ability to anticipate and satisfy the requests of clients who are always more demanding and oriented to quality without compromises," TISG CEO Giovanni Costantino said at the time of the sale.

The yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2026 and is one of the largest builds for the shipyard to date, followed by the 78-metre Platinum and 75-metre Kenshō. Admiral's flagship, known as Project Titanium, also recently hit a construction milestone.
