The countdown to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024 is well underway. For those with sights set on luxury charter experiences, this stateside yacht show has plenty of possibilities in this year’s lineup. BOAT rounds up some of those stealing the charter spotlight on display in Florida…
Amaryllis
Stats: 78.43m, Abeking & Rasmussen, 2011, 12 guests, 19 crew
Built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2011 and extensively refitted in 2022, the Art Deco-inspired Amaryllis has plenty of sought-after charter amenities. Accommodation is for a group of up to 12, with a private owner’s deck boasting panoramic ocean views. Standout features include the Asian spa, with a sauna, steam room, and massage suite.
While the sundeck hosts a Jacuzzi, the beach club and expansive decks offer ample lounging space for further relaxation. The piano lounge and cinema suite provide entertainment options, and for guests who want to enjoy a workout, there is a fully equipped gym. The yacht for charter also boasts a range of tenders and water toys. Loon is a popular choice for charter, highlighted by its widespread social media presence and commercial success as a charter platform. The 67.5-metre Icon yacht has a beach club directly accessed from the lower guest cabins, spotlighting the potential for watersports on board. With an overflowing toy box, Loon is known for its impressive inventory of e-foils, wakeboards, Seabobs, FunAir inflatables, a golfing simulator, and much more.
The yacht has crew members qualified in the sports to match, offering charter guests one-to-one instruction. Another undeniable draw for guests is the raised main deck infinity pool for freshwater dips. The contemporary and spacious interiors by Studio Linse make it appealing to various charter groups, spanning seven cabins for 12 guests.

Unbridled

One of three charter yachts from the Trinity Yacht fleet at the show, Unbridled was delivered in 2009 and refitted in 2019. She can accommodate up to 16 guests within the versatile accommodation layout, including a full beam owner's suite with a private study area, ensuite, and an adjacent convertible cabin for additional flexibility. The sky lounge offers plenty of entertainment options for charter groups, with a games table, TV, bar and multiple seating arrangements.
Meanwhile, the 10-person Jacuzzi and exercise equipment on the sundeck adds to the amenities. Equipped with a vast water toy selection such as fishing equipment, Jet Skis, Seabobs, stand-up paddleboards, and three tenders, there is plenty to keep guests occupied when cruising the yacht's popular Caribbean and New England hotspots. Those who choose to charter Unbridled will enjoy gourmet cuisine from the chef who claimed the top spot at last year's Chef Competition at the Newport Charter Show. Skyfall

The 57.91-metre Skyfall from Trinity Yachts is reminiscent of its 007 namesake, allowing guests to arrive and depart stylishly via the touch-and-go helipad. These highlights continue on the sundeck, with a Jacuzzi and a separate plunge pool. Accommodating various charter groups within the six-stateroom layout, thanks to the elevator connecting all three decks, she is easily accessible to all.
The yacht for charter offers an exciting fleet of tenders and water toys – such as electric surfboards, inflatables and Jet Skis – as well as e-bikes for on-shore exploration. The helipad also doubles up as a basketball court for those with a competitive spirit. To complement the chef’s creations onboard, a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar is located on the main deck aft.

Starship

Stealing the spotlight during season nine of Below Deck as Seanna (re-named Starship after a sale), the yacht is the work of Glade Johnson and today stands as a proven charter platform. Having undergone several refits, the most recent being in 2021, the charter yacht has been kept fresh while the distinct silver hull remains. The main saloon and a secondary lounge on the bridge deck are perfect for entertaining and dining.
Meanwhile, the exterior boasts ample space for further alfresco dining and lounging, including the cocktail bar and Jacuzzi on the sundeck. The generously sized beach club gives guests access to a gym and sauna as well as a vast toy list, including four Jet Skis and four Seabobs, scuba diving and fishing gear. Starship has been a familiar yacht on the Bahamas charter scene thanks to her shallow draft of 2.4 metres. There is also a helipad to bring arrival and departure up a notch or two.

Liberty

Designed by Geoff Van Aller, Liberty (ex-Lady Sara) is a charter yacht featuring social spaces which easily bring guests together. The spacious layout and generous sundeck give rise to socialising and entertaining with state-of-the-art entertainment – including a dancefloor – as well as ample seating and dining arrangements.
The yacht also has a toybox brimming with activity, from kayaks, wakeboards and skis to Seabobs and comprehensive beach set-ups. Inside, throughout the six staterooms and communal living areas, guests will find plenty of Art-Deco touches courtesy of the Evan K Marshall interior design, such as hand-painted murals, stonework and lacquer details.

Amigos

From the 2017 drawing boards of the popular Amels Limited Edition 180 series and Tim Heywood, Amigos accommodates 13 guests across six cabins. Penned by Laura Sessa, she features adaptable interiors for charter groups. The full-beam owner’s suite offers access to a private 180-degree terrace on the bridge deck aft. At the same time, the VIP cabin on the main deck features a fold-down balcony.
The sundeck hosts impressive amenities for charter groups: a 4-meter counter-current pool and an outdoor cinema with Starlink connectivity. Alfresco and shaded dining can be enjoyed alongside a teppanyaki grill. Other notable features include the beach club, which has a hammam and hosts an array of water toys.

Victoria Del Mar

Victoria Del Mar’s 2014 refit breathed new life into its charter capabilities with a fully upgraded AV system. Onboard, art enthusiasts will appreciate the original pieces from the likes of Andy Warhol that adorn the walls. For wellness features, the versatile gym space doubles up as a massage or spa area. The sundeck is an inviting playground for charterers, featuring a Jacuzzi flanked by sun pads and an alfresco dining area. This area additionally transforms into an open-air cinema, with a large screen offering movie nights.
Water enthusiasts will have an extensive array of toys at their disposal to choose from, whether an inflatable climbing wall or professional kite gear ideal for Caribbean charters. Victoria Del Mar also has a drone onboard, ready to capture charter activities. For accessibility and catering to all charter groups, there is the convenience of an elevator connecting all four decks.

Newly delivered earlier this year, King Benji has been turning heads since appearing on the charter books. She was a nominee at the 2024 World Superyacht Awards and the cover star of the March 2024 issue of BOAT International magazine. Having completed her first Mediterranean charter season, she is stateside and ready to debut in Fort Lauderdale.

Muchos Mas showcases her charter flexibility within the accommodation layout, which is ideal for various groups of up to 10. In particular, a convertible arrangement for the two aft double cabins can transform into a full-beam VIP suite, complete with a private lounge and dual ensuites. On board are two Jacuzzis, one on the foredeck surrounded by a lounging area, while the sundeck boasts a Jacuzzi with a swim-up bar. This space is enhanced with a barbecue and sun pads and protected by a cooling misting system for comfort in any climate.
Further lounging and entertaining space is found within the sky lounge, including a TV and games table. The main deck has space for a range of dining options, blending the inside with the outside, thanks to a retractable window connecting the main bar with the aft deck bar.
