The 29.1m sailing yacht Alcanara has been listed for sale by Burgess.
Designed by Dubois Naval Architects, she was built in aluminium by Steve Ward in Australia and delivered in 2009. Alcanara was built to Lloyd’s class to exacting standards for an Olympic yachtsman, and is seaworthy, elegant and fast. She is at the top of her class in terms of construction, fit-out and performance.
An interior designed by the acclaimed Rhoades Young design team has a relaxed, light and sophisticated ambience, with sumptuous Italian fabrics and marble used throughout, as well as custom carpets in pure New Zealand wool. Accommodation is for six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite and two twins, all with en suite bathrooms.
She has a family-friendly cockpit lounge for dining and entertaining, shaded by a Bimini top. There are two opposing U-shaped banks of seating around tables and the companionway is offset slightly to port. Below, she has a raised saloon with panoramic views through large picture windows. There is a formal dining area to port and seating to starboard, aft of the navigation station.
A draft of 3.8 metres gives her excellent performance under sail. Under power, her 318hp Scania diesel engine gives her a top speed of 12 knots and a maximum range of 2,300 nautical miles at 10.5 knots.
Lying in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Alcanara is asking €3,950,000.
