The 40 metre Sunseeker tri-deck motor yacht About Time has been sold in less than two months with Iain Lawrie of Merle Wood representing the buyer. Oscar Losada of Yacht Direct acted for the seller.
Built in GRP by British yard Sunseeker International to a design by Don Shead, About Time was delivered in 2010 as a Sunseeker 131 model and went on to become a finalist at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards. She accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins comprising a master suite with a sea balcony on the main deck plus two doubles and two twin cabins on the lower deck, along with a sixth double on the upper deck. The twin cabins each have a Pullman berth and all cabins have entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities.
The interior is in satin finished black American walnut wood throughout and her main deck saloon comes with a 64-inch HD television linked to a Bose stereo surround sound system while on the port and starboard sides balconies fold out to the sea. Especially attractive for fans of al fresco meals is the upper deck cockpit complete with a large dining table and seating for 10 guests.
More outdoor relaxation beckons guests on the sun deck, offering a Jacuzzi spa tub, sun pads, a fully equipped bar and an entertainment system.
Twin V12 4000M93 MTU diesel engines deliver a maximum speed of 25 knots and a range of 1,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. For added safety and comfort at sea, she is fitted with Trac fin zero speed stabilisers.
About Time was asking $13,900,000.
