39m SES Yachts sailing yacht Grace III joins market

The 39.3-metre SES Yachts sailing yacht Grace III is newly listed for sale with Pieter van der Weide of Hoek Brokerage.

Grace III was delivered in 2021 by SES Yachts of Turkey as a Truly Classic 128. Her aluminium hull was constructed by Bloemsma of The Netherlands and the naval architecture, exterior and interior design of this fractional, cutter-rigged sloop is by Hoek Design Naval Architects.

In addition to the yacht's Dutch hull, the broker pointed out that much international equipment was specified, from Lewmar sailing systems and hydraulics to carbon spars and rod rigging by Hall Spars. Her machinery is Scandinavian.

The yacht was designed, according to the owner's brief, with a single large main deckhouse, a spacious guest cockpit and the steering position well aft in a second cockpit. Both are protected by biminis stretched over stainless steel frames.

A fractional sail plan gives "sparkling performance" in light winds while the Park Avenue-style main boom makes for easy sail handling. Decks and cockpits are finished in teak.

Below decks, forward of the deckhouse, one enters Grace III's saloon, aft of which is the owner's stateroom. Forward of the saloon are two guest cabins to port and starboard, comprising one twin and one double. Further forward sits the galley, crew mess and a "flex" cabin that can be used by crew or extra guests. In total, there are quarters for nine guests and four crew during owner use, or seven guests with six crew during charter.

Dark mahogany bulkheads, oak soles and white, lightweight deckhead panels give a traditional feel.

Built to RINA class, the 131GT yacht for sale's fin keel with a "torpedo-style" bulb draws 4.6 metres, while her mast towers 52.9 metres above the waterline. Her Scania engine drives a one-metre-diameter Hundested variable pitch propeller, giving her a speed of 12 knots. Under sail, she achieves 13.5 knots upwind and 15 knots reaching.
