The 25.69 metre sailing yacht Roma has been listed for sale by Tim Quinlan at Ocean Independence.
Built in GRP by Italian yard Latini Marine to a design by Farr Yacht Design, she was delivered in 2005 and is RINA classed and MCA compliant. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins including a master suite and three further convertible cabins, offering maximum flexibility.
The builder claims a 600kgs saving in weight by having a carbon rather than a teak deck. For cruising, a sensual feel is maintained with cushions that can be spread around the deck. The two folding cockpit tables can be extended to one large table for al fresco dining or lowered for a sun bed.
In the main saloon, two tables capable of seating 16 people with bench seating make for easy stowage and can be folded along their length. Despite her minimalist interior, Roma is rich in functional detail. For weight saving, the removable storage units are covered with water resistant leather.
Designed for the world’s racing circuits, Roma achieved first in class at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in 2005, 2006 and 2009. Under power, a 315hp Yanmar engine gives her a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Lying in Cala Galera, Italy, Roma is asking €2.6 million.
