An $850,000 price drop has been announced on the 46.3-metre sailing yacht Antara, listed for sale with Henry Craven-Smith of Burgess and Bruce Brakenhoff of Edmiston.
The steel and aluminium ketch was delivered from Italian yard Perini Navi in 1991 and has benefitted from a number of comprehensive refits over the past five years, the most recent being in 2023. She was designed throughout by Perini Navi, including the yacht's naval architecture.
The classic Perini Navi accommodates "eight plus two" guests across four cabins, all newly varnished in satin teak. The owner's suite is full-beam with a king-sized bed, his and her bathroom, new steam shower, an office and a private gym.
The VIP guest cabin has a queen-sized bed and an en suite bathroom decorated in Italian Carrera marble, while the two twin cabins have an additional Pullman berth each. Antara has quarters for up to nine crew. Other indoor features include a saloon that provides ample lounging space, as well as a formal dining room with an oval table and a sit-up bar.
On deck, the aft cockpit offers a bar and a choice between shaded and comfortable seating areas for lounging or dining around exquisitely crafted teak tables. The flybridge is reached using a spiral staircase around the mizzen mast, where further seating can be found immediately aft of the helm station. Below the mizzen, there is a teak-trimmed Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, which are protected by a low bulwark and guard rails.
As well as having the comfort of a motor yacht, Antara is an accomplished sailing vessel with several regatta race wins under her keel including at the St Barths Bucket, the Superyacht Cup and the Perini Navi Cup. The ABS-classed 370GT yacht for sale is commercially compliant with a strong charter history.
Twin 640hp MTU engines push Antara along at a cruising speed of 10 knots and up to a top speed of 12.5 knots. Her range under power is 3,500 nautical miles at cruising speed, and she also has a lifting keel that can reduce her draft from seven metres to 3.4 metres for easy entry into anchorages and ports.
Lying in Tarragona, Spain, Antara is now asking $9,100,000.
