Rupert Connor at Luxury Yacht Group tells me he's closed on his listing for sale, the 60 metre motor yacht Solemates, with Merle Wood at Merle Wood & Associates representing the buyer.

Designed by Espen Oeino, Solemates was built by German yard Lurssen to Lloyd’s class and launched in 2010 as Katie Sue II. A sharp, contemporary interior by Glade Johnson is in handcrafted woods, contrasting fabrics and clever lighting throughout. Her sun deck has a bar, lounge and Jacuzzi along with a fully equipped gymnasium with cardio machines and free weights. Other special features include a full disco with laser lights, DJ mixing decks and smoke machine, and there’s also an on board facility to print global daily publications.

Solemates sleeps 12 guests in six staterooms, all with king size beds. The full beam master suite is on the main deck and the VIP stateroom is on the upper deck while four further staterooms are below. All have full en suite bathrooms and the latest entertainment systems. Twin Caterpillar 3512B engines give her a cruising speed of 13 knots and she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

Rupert Connor says that Solemates sold at close to her asking price of €57.5 million.
