Marin Luxur superyacht My Darlings sold

20 July 2015 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

The 40 metre motor yacht  My Darlings has been sold by Jimmy Frangi at SSH Maritime with Globe Regal and Jonacor Marine representing the buyer.

My Darlings has a chequered history, in that her build in steel and aluminium was started by Spanish yard Marin LuxurYachts in 2009 to a design by Acubens Naval Architects but not completed by the yard. Instead, her current owner purchased the project in 2013 and shipped it to Greece where the yacht was completed in his own yard and delivered early in 2014. Styled by Giorgio Vafiadis, she subsequently made her public debut at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show.

My Darlings features volume and deck surfaces comparable to yachts far exceeding her dimensions with a gross tonnage of almost 400. Her accommodation for 10 guests in five cabins features a spacious on deck master suite and four very comfortable guest cabins comprising two doubles and two twins. All cabins have en suite bathrooms, while there are also two dayheads. The interior includes high end fabrics such as Iwan Mektabi carpets and Novaluce appliques along with designer furniture from Fendi, Megaron, Minotti and Sifas.

Twin 1,000hp MAN engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots, a range of 2,500 nautical miles and she is fitted with zero speed stabilisers.

My Darlings was asking $11,700,000.
