The 28 metre sailing yacht Hide N Sea, listed for sale by Marc Haendle at Ocean Independence in Palma, has been sold, with Manfred Haas at Haas International introducing the buyer.
Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Jongert to an in-house design, Hide N Sea was delivered in 1992 as one of the yard's 25DS models. Her Peter Sijm interior offers accommodation for seven guests in a master and two staterooms plus a Pullman berth, all with en suite facilities. In 2008 she had an extensive refit and, as well as the normal maintenance work, the electronics were updated and safety equipment improved. She completed an extensive structural hull refit early in 2015 with new antifouling.
On the technical side, she has a 91’ main mast, booms by Nirvana, a Reckmann hydro furling system, Lewmar winches throughout and sails by North Sails. In addition, her bathing platform, deck shower, sun awnings and sun pads were all renewed in the 2008 refit. Extras include a 50hp Tempest tender and a Bauer dive compressor.
Under power, a 299hp MTU engine gives her a very respectable range of 1,800 nautical miles at 8 knots.
Hide N Sea was asking €850,000.
