A €2,100,000 price reduction has been announced on the 49.9-metre Heesen motor yacht Ela, listed for sale with Robert Shepherd of Edmiston and Thom Conboy and Chris Collins of Ocean Independence.
Delivered in 2021 by Heesen Yachts, Ela was constructed in aluminium from the Dutch yard's Nova Plus design and engineering platform. Her Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), "arguably the most efficient hull in her class", was designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, while her exterior – characterised by her plumb bow – was penned by Omega Architects. Her "airy" interior is from the studio of Cristiano Gatto Design Team.

The Dutch build is recognised for the exceptional amount of structural glass across her profile, which makes for a bright interior with excellent views outwards. A clever addition is the mirrored window mullions, which provide light while seeming almost invisible so as not to disturb her contemporary profile.
Her Cristiano Gatto interior is characterised by fine materials and soft furnishings, warm walnut veneers and soft matte finishes to create a relaxed ambience throughout. There are interesting details in her living spaces, including colour-changing lighting in the saloon's coffee table and dining table, embedded with onyx. In addition to her welcoming, open-plan living spaces, highlights on board include a fully-equipped gym and sauna on her lower deck.
On deck, Ela's guests can enjoy watching a movie forward at the bow – with the tender bay converting to an outdoor cinema – or al fresco dining aft on the bridge deck. For those seeking a refreshing plunge, there is a Jacuzzi on the sundeck, in addition to a full-service bar.
Closer to the water, the beach platform boasts a large-stepped ladder system that can be lowered for easy access from the sea or raised to form a diving board: perfect for her large toy box, including Seabobs, Jet Skis and Fliteboards.
Twin MTU diesels power the 499GT, ABS-classed yacht for sale at up to 19.5 knots with a cruising speed of 14 knots. She has a low draft at 2.1 metres, allowing access to anchorages and cruising grounds that other 50-metres cannot reach.
Ela is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with a new asking price of €36,900,000. She will be on display at the upcoming Palm Beach International Boat Show.
