Oscar Romano at Fraser Yachts in Monaco tells me he’s closed on his listing for sale, the 50.5 metre expedition yacht Tribu, with no other brokers involved.
RINA classed, Tribu was built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Mondomarine to a design by Luca Dini and delivered in 2007 with a thorough refit in 2013. A contemporary, minimalist interior by Studio Lissoni offers accommodation for 10 guests in five staterooms configured as a large master suite on the upper deck with panoramic views along with three double staterooms and a twin cabin on the main deck, all with en suite facilities.
The top deck contains the wheelhouse, the captain’s cabin, and an office equipped with the satellite systems that allow the owner to keep a close watch over his business affairs wherever he travels. Deck spaces are vast and there is plenty of room for carrying water toys, along with areas dedicated to al fresco entertaining and dining.
Powered by twin 1,234hp Deutz engines, Tribu has a range of 3,200 nautical miles and has proved her mettle with a global circumnavigation.
Tribu was asking €11.9 million.
