The 64-metre Holland Jachtbouw sailing yacht Athos, which has circumnavigated the world twice, has been listed for sale with Tim Langmead of Fraser.
Built in 2010 by the Dutch shipyard, Athos was constructed in aluminium to a complete design from Hoek Design Naval Architects. When delivered, she took two impressive titles; becoming the flagship of Holland Jachtbouw (surpassing the previous flagship Windrose of Amsterdam by almost 20 metres) and taking the crown as the world's largest two-masted schooner – a title she still retains to date.
Combining "iconic design" with "advanced technology", the sailing yacht underwent an extensive 14-month refit in 2022 by Huisfit, the refit branch of Royal Huisman. With works including a 1.25-metre extension to the stern, a reconfigured deck and a total rebuild of the interior, Athos took home the World Superyacht Award for the Refitted Yachts category in 2023.
She recently underwent a major technical upgrade in 2025 which included the installation of two brand-new engines, two new generators and new bow and stern thrusters.
Athos can accommodate up to 10 guests across five cabins, including a dual-level master suite with a private office and personal cockpit. Finished with tiger mahogany and Italian white and green marble, no expense has been spared in creating a stylish yet comfortable interior - even the layout has been, "designed for comfort" according to her brokers.
The main saloon is particularly inviting, with rich wood panelling contrasted by cream boucle sofas and armchairs, while a dining table and a well-stocked marble bar lie nearby. Amidships, a dedicated media lounge offers a relaxed entertaining space.
On deck, there is an al fresco dining table seating eight and sofas at the central cockpit, while another lounge space – complete with a table that can be raised for massages – is accessible from the owner's private cockpit aft. There are several sunpads across her deck and her forward mast is even equipped with a crow’s nest elevator for 360-degree views.
The schooner is a "well-established" charter yacht, benefitting from unrestricted MCA commercial compliance. She is "made for exploration" and has circumnavigated the world twice, exploring destinations such as the Pacific and Alaska and offers ample storage for tenders and water toys.
The yacht for sale is powered by twin 651 hp Volvo engines providing a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles.
Under sail, Athos makes use of her "modernised" rigging (which is operated by push-button in addition to her hydraulic systems) and lightweight carbon materials to provide an enhanced and efficient cruising experience. She is also fitted with a Dynamic Positioning system (rarely found on sailing yachts) for easy and precise manoeuvring.
Athos is asking €43,000,000.
