The first hull in the 57 metre Amels Limited Editions 188 series has been sold with Ben Young at Superyacht Management representing the buyer.
Currently being completed by the Dutch yard, this displacement yacht features exterior styling by Tim Heywood and an interior by the Reymond Langton design studio.
This is the eighth design in this highly successful range, which has seen more than 20 hulls over 52 metres since the first Limited Editions 171 Deniki hit the water in 2007.
Accommodation is for 12 guests split between six cabins, including an owner’s suite, a VIP suite on the bridge deck, two doubles and two twins, all with entertainment centres and en-suite bathroom facilities. In addition, the crew quarters allows for a staff of up to 13 people.
The Amels 188 superyacht is the first hybrid powered Limited Editions yacht, and it will feature Amels' own hybrid switchboard and waste heat recovery systems. The yard believes that this hybrid system could offer a €150,000 return on investment over a three year period.
The Amels 188 also features generous outdoor space spread over four decks which includes a 17.6 square metre swimming platform and a five-person Jacuzzi. There are two options for the superyacht sundeck, one of which gives owners the chance to have either an open sundeck of almost 124 square metres or a touch-and-go helipad.
Following a technical launch in March 2017, the Amels Limited Editions 188 is scheduled for completion in summer 2018.
