The 32-metre sloop Idle has been sold in an in-house deal with Maël Fiolet of Camper & Nicholsons.
Designed by Philippe Briand and composite built by CNB in France in 2007, Idle has just had her 15-year Bureau Veritas survey and has only been privately used. This was the first time the yacht had been offered for sale.
She benefits from a raised saloon, elegantly designed into her sleek profile. The saloon, with a classic, warm wood finish, is spacious and offers views all around while also feeling secure and protected when exploring cooler cruising grounds.
Four en suite cabins accommodate a party of eight, the master double being forward, complemented by a further two doubles and one twin cabin, while crew quarters, for four, lie aft with their own dinette space. Efficient sound and vibration reduction formed part of the design brief.
On deck, the cockpit has a dining table, fridge and sound system, shaded by a foldable soft Bimini. The aft swimming platform folds open to offer direct access to the lazarette where watersports equipment is stowed. Crew have direct access from their quarters and the navigation station to the twin helms.
A Cummins 405hp engine gives a cruising speed of 10 knots to this 114GT sailing yacht for sale. A new suit of sails was bent on in 2022, the mainsail dropping into the Park Avenue boom guided by lazy jacks.
Lying in Antibes, Idle was asking €3,700,000.
