The 44 metre Bloemsma Van Breemen motor yacht Arete has been sold with the buyer and seller represented by Burgess.
Arete was built in steel and aluminum by Dutch yard Bloemsma Van Breemen and delivered in 2014, combining the yard’s renowned expertise in the construction and engineering field with an exterior and interior design by Pieter Beeldsnijder and naval architecture by Vripack.
Her interior boasts public areas with well above average headroom and has an Art Deco feel in the design of the joinery in satin finished pear wood highlighted with touches of wenge accents. All in all, the detailing is superb throughout and is an excellent example of Dutch craftsmanship.
In terms of layout, she conforms to industry norms for a yacht this size, with an accommodation deck that comprises two doubles and two twins, all with en suite facilities. On the main deck is a large saloon, galley, captain’s cabin and – at a semi-raised level – the bridge. On the upper deck is another saloon, serving area and master suite, complete with its own private terrace forward. This deck can be configured as an entirely private owner’s deck, should the new owner desire.
Up on the sun deck are ample seating and sunbathing areas, a spa pool and extensive relaxation and dining spaces. The central part of the sun deck is covered by a hard-top with glass panels to allow light through while still offering plenty of shade. Twin 1,115hp Caterpillar engines give her a range of 5,267 nautical miles.
Arete was asking €15,900,000.
