The 85-metre superyacht Victorious has rejoined the market eight months after being withdrawn. She is now listed for sale with Oscar Losada of Barnes Yachting.
Built of steel and aluminium in Turkey by AKYACHT and delivered in 2021, the exterior design is credited to Michael Leach Design and interior design to H2 Yacht Design, although these areas evolved over a 14-year-long design and construction period, during which owners, designers and yards changed.
Leach, who had recently left Terence Disdale Design when he took on the project, said, "at the time it was really refreshing doing an explorer yacht to luxury standards". Leach drew on his experience of styling Maupiti, now MMM, under Disdale – his first project after leaving transport design college – when designing the original exterior of Victorious.
Horsfield said that "the great challenge with Victorious was to design an interior that was operating as a charter yacht". He added: "We wanted an easy-to-live-in interior with multi-functioning spaces to give clients a variety of experiences during their time on board". Horsfield's favourite areas are the beach club, sporting a pool, and the upper smoking lounge, "both very different spaces with very different uses of course but great examples of their genre".
Accommodation is for 24 guests in 12 cabins and she has quarters for a crew of 22. The owner's suite is located up on the bridge deck and faces aft, with direct access to the Jacuzzi and sunpads aft. This deck also has two children's cabins that might also be used for staff. On the foredeck is a "touch-and-go" helipad that can also be used as an entertainment space – with railings inserted.
The upper deck features a sit-up bar, dining table for 16 and another Jacuzzi, plus ample sunpads. The sky lounge boasts another sit-up bar and there is also an observation lounge, with panoramic views and a baby grand piano forward, as well as a formal dining room and a second, more intimate, lounge.
Victorious' sun deck has two lounge areas (one with a fireplace), a wine cellar and humidor for enjoying a cigar on the terrace aft.
Twin 1,475hp MTU engines power the 2,291GT explorer yacht for sale at up to 17 knots, with a cruising speed of 13 knots. Range is an impressive 13,000 nautical miles, perfect for long exploration voyages.
Lying in Fort Lauderdale, USA, Victorious is asking €120,000,000.
