The 49.9 metre motor yacht Hull 38, currently under construction at US yard Christensen, has been sold with Merle Wood at Merle Wood and Associates introducing the American buyer.
Due to launch in summer 2018, she features a total interior volume of 580GT thanks to her full-beam upper deck saloon, as previously seen on Christensen’s 2016 launch Silver Lining.
Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to ten people in five cabins. Her interiors were designed in-house and will be finished in high-gloss black walnut, stainless steel and fine stonework.
Christensen adds that its technical team has paid particular attention to sound and vibration dampening on this project, while extensive thermal insulation should reduce the need to use the yacht’s air conditioning system.
Built to ABS standards, Hull 38 will feature a superyacht elevator for easy access to all three decks. Power will come from a pair of MTU diesel engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots, while the total fuel capacity of 56,781 litres means a maximum cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles is possible when she is trimmed back to 10 knots.
The Christensen Hull 38 was asking $35,000,000.
