The 37.8-metre yacht Ruffian has been newly listed for sale with Don Strong and Cole Watkins of Allied Marine.
Delivered in 2001 under the name Aerie, Ruffian was constructed in GRP by US shipyard Delta Marine. She owes her exterior design to the shipyard’s in-house team, with interior lines penned by Jonathan Quinn Barnett. The yacht has benefitted from several upgrades, the latest in 2023.
Following a period of refits, Ruffian showcases a classic white exterior profile, complemented by upgraded power systems, along with modernised electronics and navigation equipment.
Her interior styling includes marble floors, wood inlays and leather-panelled walls. Accommodation is for up to eight guests and provisions are available for a crew of six. The master suite is located on the lower deck and features a full-beam layout, dual bathrooms and a Roman tub. Meanwhile, the VIP suite offers skylight views with green marble interiors.
Stepping into the main saloon and dining area, guests will find an inlaid eagle motif by stone artist Jeff Homchick, with an updated Creston AV system. According to her broker, the inside space is designed to be “both expansive and refined”.
Located aft of the pilothouse on the upper deck is the skylounge, which features a private lounge space, wet bar and convertible queen sofa. The area boasts panoramic views thanks to large windows and remote-control blinds.
Ruffian’s sundeck includes shaded wraparound seating with hidden wing stations, a wet bar and a lounge. The upper deck space can become a 10-person dining area or relaxation area with teak loungers.
Other exterior highlights include a wood table with armchairs, a service bar with a gas grill and a swim platform.
The 329GT yacht for sale is powered by twin MTU 3,600hp diesel engines, which allow for a top speed of 20 knots.
Lying in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ruffian is asking $7,995,000.
