The 49.8 metre sailing yacht Phryne, jointly listed for sale by Ocean Independence and Perini Navi USA, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Barbara Müller at Ocean Independence.
Built by Italian yard Perini Navi to ABS class with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and teak decking, Phryne was delivered in 1999. She can host up to eight guests in four double cabins, including a full beam master suite, while a further four guests can be accommodated in the convertible owner's sitting room to starboard of the master suite and in Pullman berths that can be found in two of the guest cabins. There is also accommodation for up to nine crew members in four cabins.
Alongside sleeping quarters on the main deck is a dining room, a classically designed main saloon with three comfortable sofas and two armchairs, a games room, pantry and day head. Featuring a traditional design, the interior boasts polished mahogany panelling, bevelled glass doors and parquet inlaid flooring.
Her spacious teak deck has a protected cockpit, space for two five metre tenders and a cosy lounge area, with al fresco dining for eight.
She has a sophisticated sail management system that allows one helmsman to operate the entire system single-handedly from the wheelhouse or flybridge. Twin 720 kw Deutz engines allow her a maximum cruising speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, the latter with a range of 3,100 nautical miles.
Phryne was asking €7,900,000.
