JFA Yachts yesterday launched the 26m Long Island 85' catamaran in La Rochelle, on the Atlantic coast of France.
The boat is the first hull in the French yard’s Long Island range of semi-custom catamarans. The line has been designed by the La Rochelle-based naval architect Marc Lombard and the models will feature aluminium hulls and composite superstructures.
The unusual arrangement of the Long Island 85' is ranged across an overall beam of 11.93m. The master cabin is forward, with panoramic views and direct access to the forward net. The saloon is aft and has 360 degree views, as well as a helm station and a dining area with a bar. A guest cabin, the master office and master en suite are located in the starboard hull, while the second hull accommodates another guest cabin, the galley, crew mess and two crew cabins.
Long Island 85' is powered by two 380Hp Yanmar engines and two 27kW gensets. JFA is preparing her for sea trials. Read the full feature on superyacht WindQuest.
