Sunseeker to build custom 168 Sport Yacht

17 July 2014 • Written by Risa Merl

UK yacht builder Sunseeker International has announced its largest yacht yet with a new 51 metre 168 Sport Yacht.

The fully custom yacht will be Sunseeker's new flagship. This announcement comes on the heels of the launch of Sunseeker's current flagship and largest yacht to date, Eddie Jordan's superyacht Blush. Sunseeker is also underway with the build of the second Sunseeker 155, which has had the keel laid this May.

The Sunseeker 168 Sport Yacht will have an aggressive, sporty interior, befitting of its Sport Yacht line, yet Sunseeker says it will boast the interior volume of a tri-deck yacht. Engine options will allow for a top speed of 25 knots or an economical displacement speed range of more than 4,000 nautical miles.

'Words cannot capture how excited we all are to be building such an awe-inspiring Sport Yacht so quickly after the launch of our majestic 155 Yacht,' says Sean Robertson, sales director at Sunseeker International. 'The new custom 168 Sport Yacht will be a true flagship for the Sunseeker range.' Sunseeker will be sharing photos and build updates as the project develops.
