140 metre Lloyd Werft superyacht Solaris pictured in Gibraltar

Solaris, one of the largest superyachts to launch in 2021, has been spotted passing through Gibraltar. The yacht is now underway for Barcelona after departing Gibraltar on June 6.

It comes after the 140 metre superyacht was recently delivered following sea trials in the North Sea.

Designed by Australian designer Marc Newson, Solaris was launched at German yard Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven in February.

Key exterior features include a light grey hull and white superstructure.

Little is known about the superyacht but  images show a large helipad, sun deck and spacious beach club aft. Solaris also features a total of eight decks.

It comes after Lloyd Werft delivered the 115 metre explorer yacht Luna in 2010. Read about Luna's €50 million refit here.
