Lloyd Werft
Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany, handles it all, from large custom new builds to refits and even conversions.
With only a few exclusive projects ongoing at a time, the yard has the resources to fully commit to each yacht. Its new builds, which include 377ft Luna and 458ft Solaris, start at about 260ft LOA and focus on special one-off projects and yachts of explorer character, with in-house concept development and engineering.
For existing yachts, Lloyd Werft offers top-tier refit, maintenance and upgrade services with a flexible, efficient approach and in-house engineering support.
Conversion is a combination of both worlds — refit and new build — each following completely different approaches. In terms of complexity, conversions are quite demanding, and Lloyd Werft has the expertise and experience to realize such projects successfully.
Shipbuilding since 1857, Lloyd Werft’s staff of 300 skilled workers, led by an adept project management team, is used to handling large-scale projects. Its facilities include four dry and floating docks. At a maximum of 1,100ft by 115ft, they are more than sufficient to accommodate even the largest projects. In addition, there is a long outfitting pier for maintenance work, workshops and a large outfitting hall for special projects. The entire premises is protected, falling under ISPS Code security regulations, with a 24-hour gatekeeper and security guards, as well as CCTV surveillance of the dedicated warehouse for owner supplies.
Lloyd Werft takes a customer-centric approach to each project, built on transparency and trust. Flexibility is the name of the game, and the team has perfected agile, lean processes with a target-oriented, no-nonsense mentality and a dedication to excellent craftsmanship.
