First behind-the-scenes images of Sirena Yachts' future flagship revealed

Sirena Yachts has released the first behind-the-scenes imagery of its 42-metre superyacht and future flagship, which is scheduled for delivery in 2026. The first hull sections of the superyacht have been welded at the shipyard's facility in Yalova, Turkey.

Described as a "waterborne dream home", Luca Vallebona has been selected to create the exterior and layout for Sirena 42M, while Italian studio Hot Lab is the mind behind the interior spaces.

Accommodation is across four lower-deck guest cabins, with two VIP cabins featuring transverse beds. While the layout is customisable, the suggested arrangement features an owner's cabin at the bow – a solution designed to provide direct access to the private forward patio.

"Often, reference is made to large windows as a method to enhance the relationship between the interior and exterior," explained designer Luca Vallebona. "In the case of Sirena, I wanted to take this concept a step further, ensuring not only expansive views of the landscape but also the possibility of physically stepping outside of the usually enclosed interior."

A concave wall creates a more dramatic entrance to the owner's cabin

Interiors are Nordic-meets-Mediterranean, incorporating curves, large fillets, and plenty of plants for a relaxed, organic feel. Chosen materials range from natural beech and oak to cotton and chenille for the sofas. This results in a light and desaturated colour range which, according to Hot Lab, emphasises natural light.

"The effect we wanted to achieve is certainly that of a studied environment rich in detail, but at the same time one that did not become mannerist at all costs," said partner and head of design at Hot Lab, Enrico Lumini. "The lines are essential, almost obvious, yet in their continuous chromatic and material contrast they find strength and richness."

The master cabin is also equipped with a Jacuzzi

Exterior renderings reveal an al fresco dining area on the sundeck and casual sofa seating on the main deck – both providing uninhibited views off the stern. The aft deck houses a large pool with fixed sunpads, sun loungers and complementary fold-out bulwarks. The design also caters to the younger generation's greater affinity for water sports with generous onboard storage for tenders and toys.

"Due to the complexity of the build, we decided to employ an external surveyor to monitor progress and control quality – in addition to the Class Society," said Cagin Genc, CEO of Sirena Yachts. "I am delighted to report that we are exactly where we wanted to be at this stage of the build - precisely on schedule and working to a very high standard of finish."

The Sirena 42M was unveiled at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show and is part of a new range that also encompasses 35 and 50-metre models. The project is asking €23,950,000 with Ocean Independence and  Northrop & Johnson.

According to BOATPro, Sirena Yachts currently has six Sirena 88 units in production.
