The seventh unit in the Mangusta Oceano 50 series has been sold, with the buyer represented by Moran Yacht & Ship.
Known as Project Nexus, construction on the Alberto Mancini-designed yacht will be undertaken at Overmarine's facility in Viareggio, Italy, with Moran Yacht & Ship also managing the project. Delivery on the 49.9-metre model is scheduled for 2028, after which she will join sisterships such as Dokinha and Eternity.
The first Oceano 50, Alisa, was delivered in 2021 and secured a win in her size category at the following World Superyacht Awards.
Accommodation is across a "flexible layout" that includes five lower deck cabins (including two VIPs), plus an additional VIP cabin or gym depending on the owner's wishes. The owner's suite, meanwhile, is positioned on the main deck and fitted with a fully-automated balcony overlooking the sea.
A technological highlight is the bow area, which has a garage which, once the tender is launched, can be filled with water to create a swimming pool with counterflow system. Other communal areas include the sundeck, with its Jacuzzi, lounge and al fresco dining, and a 68-square metre beach club with three terraces overlooking the sea.
The model can reach a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Moran Yacht & Ship is the central agency for another Mangusta Oceano 50 model known as Felicitá. The fifth hull in the series, Felicitá's standout features include a blue marble and mosaic-tiled Hammam and an open-air cinema on the upper deck.
