The second unit in the new 50-metre Mangusta 165 REV series has been launched in the presence of her owner and construction team at the Overmarine shipyard in Viareggio, Italy.
Named No Rush, the vessel hit the water earlier this month less than a year after the sale was announced, with Manuele Thiella and Tommaso Chiabra of Royal Yacht International securing the deal, alongside Ivan Adzic, Overmarine Group's area manager for France and Monaco. No Rush joins sistership N1 on the water.
The Mangusta 165 REV is the flagship of the Maxi Open line and builds on the success of the previous Mangusta 165. A slender exterior is the work of Overmarine and Lobanov Design and takes inspiration from 1930s sports cars. Powered by four Rolls Royce 2,600hp engines and four Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets, she can reach a top speed of 35 knots with a 30 per cent reduction in fuel consumption.
While the first and second hulls share the same propulsion package, No Rush features a fully custom interior by Marcello Pianosi in collaboration with Overmarine. Details are yet to be revealed, but the model features a 92-square-metre, split-level, full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck with a VIP cabin and three further guest cabins below.
A generous beach club is revealed with the transom folded down and is one of several areas in which guests can unwind. Alternative options include the sundeck with its spa pool flanked by sun pads, and the large bow lounge – a hallmark of the Mangusta brand – with a second spa pool.
No Rush will be delivered to her owner next month. Construction on the third hull has been started on speculation and is available for sale with delivery next year. There are 21 Mangusta models currently in development at Overmarine, including four Mangusta 104 REV models, according to BOATPro.
