The second unit in AB Yachts' 39.7-metre series, the AB130, has been launched. She is now undergoing final tests at the yard's facilities in Viareggio, Italy.
The model has a sporty, slender exterior befitting an impressive maximum speed of 40 knots, supported by waterjet propulsion. An "extendable" beach area at the stern is what sets the AB130 apart from others in her size bracket with two large aft wings that deploy to form a "terrace on the sea".
This beach area is integrated with the aft cockpit and main saloon, creating a single convivial area that exceeds 100 square metres. A sea-view pool, which can be covered and uncovered "on demand", completes the space, while an alternative al fresco space is found on the flybridge.
Meanwhile, the main saloon measures 50 square metres and provides 360-degree views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The interior décor has been customised to the specific needs of the owners, who are "experienced yachtspeople who knew exactly what they were looking for".
The AB130 also benefits from a float-in garage, which has capacity for a 4.6-metre tender, two Jet Skis, Seabobs and several inflatable systems.
The model has a range of 450 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 35 knots.
According to BOATPro, AB Yachts has three units on order or under construction.
