The first unit in AB Yachts' AB110 sportfly series has been launched in Viareggio, Italy. The 33.5-metre is now awaiting final fitting-out operations ahead of her sea trials.
Characterised by a sporty exterior and eye-watering maximum speed of 45 knots, the model is the first in a new range designed entirely by Archea Associati. The AB110 builds on the technical and technological content of previous builds to create "a new generation of superyachts" for the shipyard.
Imagery is undisclosed but interiors have been described as loft-like, "charming" and defined by an "all-pervading brightness" as a result of generous glazing on the main deck.
"[The AB110] remains unchanged in terms of performances, noiselessness and the absence of any vibrations while further increasing onboard liveability, comfort and unparalleled wellbeing," said a spokesperson for the shipyard. "The exteriors and interiors flow smoothly into one another in a soft, fluid movement of tactile elements and walkable surfaces, from staircases to furniture, from built-in cupboards to furnishings."
According to BOATPro, AB Yachts has four units on order or currently under construction. This includes the latest unit in the shipyard's 30.5-metre AB100 series, with the previous unit having launched in April 2023.
