Rossi Navi signs new order for a 49m motor yacht

9 July 2012 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

More good news arrived this morning from Italy, with the announcement of a new order for Rossi Navi. The Italian yard has signed a contract for a new 49 metre motor yacht.

Currently known as hull number FR028, this new project will be a sister ship of Prince Shark (hull number FR027), recently moved from Pisa to the facility in Viareggio where she will be fitted-out and completed in May 2013.

Designed by Enrico Gobbi, FR028 has a light aluminium semi-planing hull and aluminium superstructure, and her twin 2,490kW MTU engines give a top speed of 23 knots.

FR028's keel laying will take place within a couple of days and her delivery is scheduled for May 2014.

This good news completes the order book of Rossi Navi, with two yachts delivered in 2012 (Aslec 4 and 2 Ladies) and two yachts under construction scheduled for a delivery in 2013 (Ketos and Prince Shark).
